自下而上(bottom-up)应该是观念而不是技术
摘要：这两年来，“自下而上”(bottom-up)在知识管理领域常常被提及和讨论，但需要注意我们对此概念的理解似乎有所偏差。其中一个Ahrens在《How to take smart notes》一书中阐述的概念，另一个是在RoamResearch出现后才出现的概念。
先提一个问题：obsidian是一款“自下而上”(bottom-up)的软件吗？（我的解答在文末。）
这两年，“自下而上”(bottom-up)在知识管理领域常常被提及和讨论，与之相对应的还有另一个名词是“自上而下”(up-bottom)。但我困惑的一点是，目前自下而上常常与块引用（技术）联系在一起，而我认为自下而上应该是观念而不是技术。因为它被提出时，还没有块引用。
就我个人的经历，在知识管理领域，我第一次接触这对概念是在Ahrens-2017-How to take smart notes一书中。我不清楚是否还有比这本书更早、并引起广泛讨论的文献？如果有，欢迎大家分享。
这本书后面也被翻译成中文。因为中文版我没怎么做笔记，我这里还是以外文原版为参考。
“自下而上”(bottom-up)在该书出现3次（我检索的结果，可以见文后的检索结果），其中自下而上是用于形容slip-box，也就是卢曼的笔记系统。但都并没有提到块（block）这个概念。另外，全书中block也没有作为名词出现，仅仅作为动词（“block out”）出现了一次（在“9.3 Give Each Task the Right Kind of Attention”）。
而在该书成书的时候（2017年），卢曼笔记系统的实现软件是zk笔记软件（主要指在 https://zettelkasten.de/tools 罗列和讨论的）。而obsidian可以算是zk笔记软件的最新形态，所以理应继承上述“自下而上”的评价。
另外，昨天我在检索维基百科时发现，自下而上也有作为词条被收录，解释如下：
自上而下与自下而上同为信息处理及知识排序之策略，在软件、人文与科学理论以及管理与组织等领域皆有所应用。实务上可被视为一种思维、教学或领导的方式。 From 维基百科中“自上而下和自下而上设计”一节
因此，如果你用自下而上的理念去使用ob，那ob就是一个自下而上的软件，反之则不是。
